Privacy policy
Below is what this site collects and why. It describes what the software actually does rather than offering generic wording.
What we receive
From the enquiry form: your email address (required), plus company, name, country, phone and message if you provide them. We also store the sender’s IP address and the site language. Customers with access have an account: email, password hash, language, plan and limits, along with a login log and active sessions.
Why
To answer your enquiry, to open and administer catalogue access, to invoice, and to keep sign-in secure. The IP address is used only for rate limiting — it protects the form from spam and the login from password guessing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and accounts are kept for as long as the customer relationship lasts. Finished export files are deleted automatically after seven days. Login and action logs are retained for incident investigation.
Cookies
The site uses only necessary cookies: a session identifier in the customer account and your remembered language choice. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels and no trackers, which is why you see no consent banner.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or pass contact details to third parties. Email is sent through our own mail server; the catalogue data you receive is not reported back to us and is not tracked.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, its correction or its deletion by writing to info@smartoptic.tech. Deleting an account ends access to the API and to exports.
